Kanalbyen / Fredericia

Kanalbyen in Fredericia is a new neighbourhood with attractive, modern homes, urban gardens, canals, life and air. The new urban area is located directly on the Little Belt. Kanalbyen works strategically with art as a tool to create life, involvement, meeting places, identity and cohesion.

The project extends from Fredericia's old town to the more robust harbour environment with the waterfront and the industrial part of the city.

Landscape architects from SLA and Fredericia Municipality have carefully selected plants that will attract a wide range of animal species, counteract climate change and create experiences for park visitors.

Along piers and buildings, many High-Light light poles are placed. Here you will also find our Campus Line Drainage in cast iron. High-Light is made of pure aluminium and is developed according to cradle-to-cradle principles. This means that the pole can easily be remelted and reused, resulting in potential energy savings of 95%.
