Bollards

- Safety in urban space with high-quality bollards

Bollards are much more than practical - they are an integral part of the visual expression of urban spaces. That's why our bollards are designed to blend in with the aesthetics of the urban space and create safety and security for the users of the urban space. Bollards prevent unwanted traffic in an area and can be used to demarcate areas, cordon off areas or provide security.

Bollards that fit the urban space
At GH Form, you will find a selection of bollards developed by talented designers such as Knud Holscher, Henning Larsen and Erik Brandt Dam. What they have in common is that they are designed to have both a practical and an aesthetic function. Our bollards are all part of series of urban furniture that ensure a common thread in the visual expression of the urban space.

Benefits of our bollards

All bollards are created in a timeless design so they can be an integral part of your urban space, even as it changes over time.

High quality
Our bollards are made of highly durable quality materials such as cast iron and steel. They can last for decades and won't be damaged by collisions.

Breakage protection
Our bollards come with breakage protection. This means that in the event of a collision, they can be re-erected without having to adjust the foundation. This is your guarantee of a long-lasting solution without expensive surprises.

Customised to the needs of the urban space
Bollards are produced in either cast iron or steel and can be surface treated to match the aesthetics of the urban space. They are available with reflective tape to increase safety in urban spaces.

Frequently asked questions

The bollard with breakage protection is equipped with a fuse that blows when hit. The bollard is then secured with a wire to prevent it from rolling away. Replace the fuse and the bollard is as good as new.

The bollard has a Ø90 mm rubber mandrel at the bottom. On impact, the bollard bends to stand up again.

For example, if you need to pass over a bollard with a car, the bollard can be laid down in the direction of travel without loose parts.

If a street has two functions depending on the season. For example, in summer, bollards may be needed to control the side street and orientate traffic, so the bollard is set up while it is removed and the hole is covered with a blind plug in winter.

The bollard is mounted on a galvanised steel foundation that is buried in soil-moist concrete or on a foundation slab, for example above underground parking or close to a curb.

All our bollards are made of cast iron as standard, as this is the most robust material. Both the untreated cast iron and the powder-coated surface are suitable for very demanding environments, both coastal and urban. The bollard itself is guaranteed for 20 years against deformation from vandalism or collisions.
