A world of possibilities - creative water drainage

Drainage can be much more than pure functionality - with GH Form's drainage solutions, you open up a world of possibilities. Be inspired by, for example, Skt. Ols Gade in Roskilde, where gently water flowing water guides visitors through open drainage channels toward the city's artworks. Or Munkebjergparken in Odense, where water play and water drainage come together in perfect harmony. Or the Courtyard of the Future, where rainwater is purified and reused in efficient and visible stormwater solutions that invite play and sensory experiences.

Light up the urban space

Add an extra dimension to water drainage with light. We offer various water drainage solutions with integrated lighting. Combine, for example, linear drainage with grazing lights or an LED light strip embedded in the drainage channel. The lighting creates atmosphere and a sense of safety in the urban environment during the darker hours, thereby increasing both the value and functionality of your drainage solutions.

Our lighting solutions for drainage channels are fully integrated into the drainage system and can withstand heavy traffic.

SuDS solutions

GH Form's drainage solutions fit well with various SuDS solutions for climate-proofing urban spaces.

For projects with special requirements for rapid water drainage, we have developed the Climate Channel. With extra width and depth, the Climate Channel is designed to divert large volume of water in a short time. It is engineered to withstand heavy loads and is therefore ideal for bus terminals, airports or industrial areas with heavy traffic.

Our ambition is to minimise direct and indirect environmental impact and to continuously improve our environmental efforts.

Quality products made in Denmark

Our drainage grates are produced at our own foundry near Køge. This is your guarantee of drainage systems that meet Danish quality standards. In addition, long transport is avoided, which would otherwise increase costs and cause pollution.

Our drainage grates are made from untreated cast iron, which blends seamlessly into the visual expression of the urban space. Cast iron is an extremely durable material, so when you choose drainage solutions from GH Form, you get products that last for decades. The Dock-Line linear drainage is also available in stainless steel.

EPD-documented drainage

All our cast iron drainage channels are EPD-documented according to international environmental standards. They are made from 100% recycled iron, which means they have a low carbon footprint. They are also manufactured at our foundry near Køge, which avoids long transport distances.

A life cycle analysis of our drainage drains shows that the carbon footprint of our drainage drains is around 80% lower than most European manufacturers.

Frequently asked questions

We are leaders in urban rainwater management and are always ready to assist with water calculations and sparring for both large and small water-related projects.

The grates can be customised to meet the specific radius requirements for a given project. We have produced large circular configurations of linear drainage for fountains, water play areas, as well as around circular buildings.

All our linear drainage grates are produced at our own foundry in Borup on Zealand.

We use only 100% recycled iron in the production of our linear drainage grates.
Our cast iron grates come with a strong environmental profile as well as product-specific EPDs.

All grates can be combined with LED lighting. In this way, an additional element is added to the urban space. Lighting in urban environment creates safety and functionality. Light can be integrated directly into the channel itself or as a grazing light, which is an independent fixture integrated into the grate.

All our drainage grates are produced in untreated cast iron.
The Water Cell grate is also available in bronze, while the Dock-Line grate also comes in stainless steel.

Plastic frames / used as standard for tiles and paving stones that are not exposed to heavy traffic.

Stainless steel frames / used when installing in asphalt. The frames are made of stainless steel and have an additional edge that rises around the grate, allowing the asphalt to be laid right up to the grate. This ensures that the grate remains free and can be removed without damaging the asphalt surface. It is possible to choose a plastic frame on one side of the channel and a steel edge on the other, depending on whether asphalt needs to be laid up to the grate on one or both sides.

Cast iron frame / used for extra reinforcement of the top of the channel, for example in areas with particularly heavy traffic. The frame has transverse reinforcements that provide the channel with extra structural strenght. The cast iron frame can also be used up against asphalt surfaces.

We always provide guidance on which channel is best suited in relation to the load class.

Load class A/B - 10 tons
Areas used by pedestrians, cyclists and cars, such as residential and park areas, parking areas, etc.

Load class C - 5 tons
Closed industrial areas with limited forklift and truck traffic, motorway entry and exit areas, and along curbs.

Load class E/F - 40 tons
Areas with particularly high traffic loads. Grates and channels can be supplied with project-specific construction and requirement specifications.
