In connection with the restoration of Kuglegården on Holmen, Copenhagen, the construction company Mogens de Linde was responsible for the extensive restoration project, which has preserved the building's historic charm while modernising it to today's standards. Built in 1741, Kuglegården has an exciting history as a storage centre for cannonballs - and it is precisely this history that has given the building its name.
As part of the restoration, we provided customised solutions that support both the historical significance of the building and today's requirements. We supplied 6-pane and 12-pane cast-iron roof windows that preserve the building's authentic expression. In addition, we have renovated several of the large façade windows with sills, ensuring a harmonious and aesthetic integration into the facades of the old building.
This project is a great example of how to combine tradition and innovation, and we are proud to have contributed to the preservation of one of Copenhagen's historic gems.
