Materials
Cast iron is a central part of GH Form's DNA. The material is known for its strength, durability and aesthetic qualities, making it ideal for urban furniture that must stand the test of time. The unique properties of cast iron ensure that the products are made to last for generations.
Over the years, GH Form has refined its work with cast iron and integrated the material into a wide range of products that combine functionality and timeless design. With its robust character and capacity for complex details, cast iron plays a crucial role in the development of durable and aesthetic solutions for public spaces.
By using cast iron in production, GH Form contributes to sustainable development where quality and longevity go hand in hand. The material's ability to be recycled and renewed makes it a natural part of our responsibility in terms of design and future-proof solutions.

Cast iron
Cast iron can be surface treated. Read more about this under surface treatment. Untreated cast iron is a material that is already familiar from the street scene in the form of paving elements such as manhole covers and gratings. The quality in which our products are cast has the same strength properties and patinas in the same way.
Steel
Steel needs to be surface treated, otherwise the rusting process will work its way into the product and cause it to break over time. We provide a number of different surface treatments. See the section below on surface treatment.
Corten steel
Corten is a rust-resistant and weather-resistant type of steel. When exposed to wind and weather, a rust layer forms relatively quickly. It is precisely this rust layer that reduces corrosion. Therefore, corten steel needs no surface treatment. The beautiful red colour gradually changes over the years and therefore products can change colour from year to year. Corten steel does not have the same high solid quality as cast iron.
Stainless steel
Stainless steel products are manufactured in A4 grade, which is acid-resistant and very durable. The surface is very uniform. However, differences in colour may occur. These will fade after a short period of wear and then disappear completely.
Surface treatments
We work with different surface treatments:
Oil treatment, hot dip galvanising, metallisation, powder coating and wet painting.
Oil treatment uses an environmentally friendly oil with added pigment and is applied to the cast iron. The oil hardens in 4 days. We work with colour systems such as RAL and NCS (Nordic Color System). All products are painted in colour and corrosion class to order. GH Form treats products to a minimum of corrosion class 3-4.
