Plinth dehumidifier
Plinth dehumidifiers are an essential element in modern construction. They ensure that rainwater does not accumulate around the building's foundation, preventing structural damage and potential mould growth. Our plinth dehumidifiers are easy to install, environmentally friendly, and meet the latest industry requirements.
Plinth dehumidifiers are not only practical. As an integrated part of the building's overall design, they also serve an aesthetic purpose. That's why we offer plinth dehumidifiers with grates in a variety of designs, from organically curved shapes to clean, minimalist lines. The grate design matches our linear drainage systems, allowing you to create a complete drainage solution with a cohesive look for your construction project.
Effective dehumidification of balconies and roof terraces
Roof terraces and balconies are particularly exposed to rain and moisture. That’s why installing a plinth dehumidifier in these areas is highly recommended to prevent moisture damage in the underlying structures. This helps extend the lifespan of the roof terrace or balcony while protecting the building’s structure from moisture.
The design of the plinth dehumidifier ensures an exclusive look on roof terraces or balconies. GH Form's plinth dehumidifier is therefore well-suited for premium properties and high-end new construction.
A cohesive appearance in the urban space
The grates for GH Form's plinth dehumidifiers also match our linear drainage solutions. This means you can install both plinth dehumidifiers and linear drainage with a consistent design, creating a unified look throughout the project.
The grates are available in many different designs. They are typically made of untreated cast iron, which complements most urban furniture. If desired, the grates can also be made of stainless steel.

Frequently asked questions
What heights is the plinth dehumidifier produced in?
Our channels have a standard total installation height of 150 and 200 mm respectively.
150 mm = Medium ventilationsklass
200 mm = High ventilation class
The height of the channel is crucial for optimal ventilation and inspection of the foundation.
We produce channels with custom height to order.
Are the grates the same as those used for linear drainage?
Yes, all our grates for linear drainage can be used with the plinth dehumidifier, as only the underlying part differs. This ensures a consistent appearance throughout the entire project, with matching grates for both plinth dehumidifiers and linear drainage.
What do we do with the corner joints around the building?
Plinth dehumidifiers for corners are delivered in meter lengths and feature precise slots that make it easy to bend them to the desired angle. This means you can quickly and easily adjust corner elements on-site - without the need for special parts or extra tools. A smart solution that saves time and ensures a neat, cohesive result.
Is the frame visible on the plinth dehumidifier?
The frame of the plinth dehumidifier is not visible on the side facing the building. Our grates are cast with "ears" that cover the underlying frame. The plinth frame facing away from the building extends only a few millimetres above the surface of the grate. This means that planting beds or laying gravel, stones, asphalt, or other paving can be done right up to the plinth dehumidifier - creating a clean and cohesive appearance.
Is it possible to use a closed grate on the base dehumidifier at entrance areas?
At entrance areas, a closed grate with the same pattern as the other grates can be installed. The closed grate accommodates walking sticks, high heels, wheelchairs, elderly people, or other challenges that may arise with an open grate in entrance areas.
The closed grating has an 8 mm opening between the grating and frame and acts as slot drainage in the entrance area. The underlying gutter is continuous. Towards the house, this element has an overhang that creates level access and closes tightly to the floor and facade.
