With its elongated shape, the wooden grating emphasises the pavement or direction of traffic. It consists of three cast iron elements and an underlying steel frame. Campus modular grating is also used for stairs, walkways and when ventilation is required.
The grating is manufactured in different sizes:
> 1490 x 500 mm / Rectangular Wooden hollow grating
> 2245 x 500 mm / Rectangular Wooden hollow grating
> 1000 x 2000 mm / Rectangular Wooden hollow grating
> 1000 x 3000 mm / Rectangular Slotted grating
> 2000 x 2000 mm / Square wood grating
> 1400 x 1400 mm / Square wood grating
> 1700 x 1700 mm / Square wood grating
> 745 x 500 mm / modular grid
> 1000 x 1000 mm / modular grating
It has two different grating elements:
One has a semi-circular recess at one end, which is turned towards the tree to form the hole.
The second has the same outer dimensions (740 mm) but without a recess, making it possible to combine several elements in long sequences and create an elegant ribbon of gratings in the flooring.
To protect the roots of the tree, all steel parts that support the grate close to the tree are designed with bevelled edges that lead away from the roots.
Designed to withstand the loads of small and medium-sized vehicles, the wooden grating is suitable for both urban and busy areas.
All our cast iron tree grates are EPD documented - an environmental product declaration developed in accordance with recognised European and international standards as well as the requirements of EN 15804.
