The project
The Karen Blixen Parken co-operative housing association is from 2004. The 3.6 m high Plaza road and parking lights from GH Form were installed in the car park when the property was built. After 20 years, the internal parts of the lamps had become worn and leaky and needed to be replaced. The wish was for energy-saving LEDs, as fluorescent tubes were phased out by the EU from 2023.
Product
GH Form has developed an LED solution that is just right for the Plaza Road and Park Light. Not only does it have an LED light source, but it also has a built-in night-time dimming of brightness and thus consumption.
"We could clearly see the difference compared to the old fluorescent tubes and not least the prisms, which we also replaced. There was more light and better spread over the areas. We could immediately observe a difference in our electricity consumption via eloverblik.dk. Both the low consumption and the night-time reduction were clearly visible. In the middle of the night, the total electricity consumption for lighting has decreased by about 25%, even though it contains many light sources other than park lamps," says Jarik Poplavski, member of the board of the Karen Blixen Parken housing cooperative.
The process?
"We chose to carry out the replacement using GH Form's own fitters to ensure correct and flawless installation of the 100% at a very competitive price. Two experienced installers changed all 14 of our Plaza Road and Park lights in one working day, quickly and efficiently, with a minor adjustment the following day. Our flower beds were looked after and rubbish was carefully collected and taken away."
