Slatted drain
A discreet and simple solution for water drainage. The slatted drain drains rainwater away to prevent damage to buildings and pavements.
GH Form's slotted drains are designed to divert water without disturbing the visual expression of the urban space. They can therefore be placed discreetly along architectural elements, giving great design freedom in the urban space.
We also offer slatted drains with a cast iron crown that blends in well with most urban spaces. The crown is made of 100 % recycled iron with a minimal carbon footprint and protects the slot.
Slatted drainage is also self-cleaning - rocks, sand and leaves that can get through the slot fall into the wider drainage channel and are transported away without blocking the slot.
Differentiated gap width with smooth transition
GH Form's slotted drains are available with differential slot width. This means that the gap can go from minimum width to maximum width on the same - with a smooth transition - on the same piece. The minimum width is ideal for places such as entrances where you need to be able to pass without your stiletto heel or shopping trolley getting stuck.
The width of the crown, gap drain and gutter remain unchanged, regardless of the width of the gap. This means that the paving contractor does not need to spend time cutting during installation.
Cleaning well for easy maintenance
It can be difficult to access the underlying trench of the slotted drain when cleaning or maintenance is required. That's why GH Form has developed a cleaner for easy cleaning of slotted drains.
The cleaning well is mounted on the side of the slotted drain and its cover can be easily removed for cleaning.
Slit drains for swimming pools
Slatted drains are an ideal solution for swimming pools where a combination of functionality and discreet design is important. The slatted drain drains away overflow water, avoiding slippery, wet surfaces around the pool. The slatted drain is also a safer and more comfortable solution along the pool edge than traditional gratings, where there is a risk of little toes getting stuck.
The stylish look of the slatted drain harmonises well with modern swimming pools where clean lines and quality materials are in focus.

Frequently asked questions
Why choose a slatted drain?
The minimal opening of a slatted drain is especially useful at entrances or transition areas where you need to pass through and want to avoid keys and other objects disappearing into the crack. The very narrow opening also makes it safer and gentler for stiletto heels.
How do you maintain and clean the trench under the narrow slotted drain?
The trench is easy to maintain. The challenge with slot drainage is that it is often more difficult to access the underlying trench. We have therefore developed a slot drain with a cleaning well that provides easy access for maintenance. GH Form's slotted drain has a narrow opening at the top, after which it becomes wide. This ensures a more maintenance-free slotted drain. When cleaning it is recommended to use a high-pressure cleaner.
Can you place the slatted drain very close to a house wall?
Yes, you can place a slotted drain very close to a house wall. The slotted drain is available with a centred slot and a side-aligned slot. The side-aligned slot drain allows you to place the slot very close to the house wall.
What load class?
Our slot drains can be installed for load classes A/B, C and E/F, up to 40 tonnes.
Is it a good idea to install a slatted drain by a swimming pool?
Yes, we have developed a special steel grate for slatted drainage that is particularly suitable for pool areas. The holes are designed in a simple and clean look so that little toes don't get stuck in the slatted drain.
Should I choose a slot drain with or without a cast iron crown?
We recommend slotted drains with a cast iron crown for a more finished look. The cast iron crown matches our other cast iron products. At the same time, the cast iron crown reinforces the slatted drain. The crown covers the raw edges of galvanised steel that the slatted drain has.
