Bybadet / Skanderborg

In the heart of Skanderborg you will find Bybadet. With innovative solutions, the project shows how to create an urban space that is accessible to everyone - regardless of disability and age.

Pictoform® Guiding Lines have been installed in the square at Kulturhuset and Bybadet for the benefit of the blind and partially sighted. In addition, we have supplied line drainage gratings in untreated cast iron.

The city pool is designed by Spektrum Architects. The project has won the international architecture award 'IOC IPC IAKS Architecture Award 2023' in the category "Outdoor and Public Spaces".

The City Pool is honoured for its accessibility and function as a focal point. The prestigious award is presented annually to recognise buildings and facilities for their exemplary design, function and innovation.

The project is supported by Realdania and Lokale og Anlægsfonden / The Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports Facilities.
