Kongens Nytorv, one of Copenhagen's most iconic squares, was built in 1670 by King Christian V and has been a central hub of the city's development ever since. The square has witnessed many historical events over the years and has been surrounded by impressive buildings such as the Royal Theatre and the old bourgeois housing estate. Today, Kongens Nytorv is a popular meeting point for Copenhageners and tourists alike, with a mix of historic buildings and modern life.

In 2019, Kongens Nytorv completed an extensive renovation. In connection with the renovation of the square, GH Form renovated the existing benches and cast new benches that preserve the classic and historical expression.

The renovation of the benches has been carried out with great respect for the original materials and design, so that they fit beautifully into the aesthetic expression that Kongens Nytorv is known for. The existing benches have been carefully restored, while the new benches are moulded in durable materials that ensure they can withstand the test of time and the harsh urban environment.
