Additional information
Gas springs are recommended for 9-pane and 12-pane windows. They facilitate opening and closing of the large heavy frames and are not visually dominant.

A 4-paned roof window refers to how many tiles the window takes up in the roof cladding.
The roof window will have dimensions corresponding to 4 roof tiles - 2 in width and 2 in height.
Roof windows for slate, for example, will have dimensions corresponding to the module dimension close to 4 slate tiles. Minor customisation may occur.
