Recessed seat and back in moulded end caps

The Copenhagen Bench

The Copenhagen Bench is a piece of furniture designed in 1888 and is still produced by GH Form. This is the original designed version where the two pieces of wood for the seat and back boards are embedded in the moulded end caps.

The front wood of the seat has a curve for increased seating comfort. The curve goes further down than the underside of the seat itself. The backrest wood is curved on both the front and back and is teardrop-shaped. No bolts, must be separated when replacing wooden parts.
