Pictoform® 26 Cast iron tile is manufactured with moulded-in tactile markings in the form of guide lines.

> L 300 x W 100 x H 70 mm / Tile with 3 x 26 mm wide baffle
> L 400 x W 100 x H 70 mm / Tile with 4 x 26 mm wide baffle
The square tiles have guide lines with a width of 26 mm, while the rectangular tiles have one line of 26 mm.
In addition to the tactile function, the tiles have special acoustics that allow them to be heard when using a mobility cane, providing extra help for the blind and visually impaired.
For optimal guidance, it is recommended to set up attention areas at the start and end of the guidance line, as well as at changes in direction or places where increased attention is needed.
Pictoform®36 elements fulfil the requirements of the EU guideline ISO/DIS 21542 for signage.
The cast iron patinates to a deep brown tone. The dark colour of cast iron corresponds approximately to NCS code S6020-Y70R. To fulfil accessibility requirements, there must be a lightness contrast of 0.4 compared to the surrounding coating.
Our Pictoform® cast iron guide rails are EPD certified and developed according to recognised European and international standards, including the requirements of EN 15804. The guide rails are cast in 100 % recycled iron, so the carbon footprint is minimised.

Assembly
The tiles are moulded as a cast iron shell with the inner cavity filled with C25/30 concrete.
They are laid like regular paving tiles - on a firm base of well-compacted ballast and levelling sand, with a joint width of 3-5 mm and sealed with jointing sand.
Additional information
Tiles are used wherever there is enough height to lay a tiled surface. They can be laid with concrete tiles, granite tiles, cobblestones, paving stones, asphalt, etc.
