The station square in Hedehusene has been revitalised, creating a vibrant and attractive urban space where people want to slow down and stop.
The square is designed to be an informal invitation to passers-by and invites them to stay on the stairs and benches. The renewal has created new meeting places with a safe atmosphere, and the city's natural meeting point now contributes to the life and safety of the urban space.
The Dan Turèll Bench stands alongside the old station building, while Mobilia benches allow you to view the square and the beautiful station building from a new angle. In the central square, the eye is caught by a modern fountain, where Campus Linjeafvanding takes care of draining the water away.
The large Kungsan Flowerpots frame the square, creating a lively and green eye-catcher and keeping unwanted traffic away.
The project won the 2017 Paving Award.
