The Dock-Line Plinth is created with a simple and solid construction designed to withstand the challenges of the public space. The plinth is available with both armrests and backrests, which can be retrofitted as needed. The standard length is 2.4 metres, but it can be adapted to shorter lengths on request.
The plinth consists of two cast iron end caps and three solid pieces of wood in FSC®-certified mahogany that are laid along the length of the bench. The wood rests on neoprene between the cast iron and wood, ensuring a flexible joint that resists wear and tear from weather conditions and temperature fluctuations. The plinth can either be placed directly on the pavement or founded underground, and the seat height is 46 cm depending on the foundation.
The Dock-Line Table is also designed to withstand the strain of public spaces. The table's simple and robust construction can be adapted for wheelchair users by extending the table's planks at the ends, creating space for one or more wheelchairs. When set up as a long table, wheelchair users can be placed between the benches for a more integrated seating area. Like the plinth, the table can either be placed directly on the pavement or founded underground for extra stability.
