Køge Stationsplads

Stationspladsen is Køge's new meeting place - where the old and new neighbourhoods meet. Here you can experience the Station Bridge with Køge's own wide 'Spanish' staircase. Weather permitting, you can take a rest and enjoy the sun and the view on the stylish Mobilia round bench that curves under a green cloud of leaves on the square's large tree.

The architects from Tegnestuen Vandkunsten have designed the Station Staircase, based in the centre of Køge, as a modern Køge version of the Spanish Steps in Rome - a wide staircase with the opportunity to stay and look at eye level to city life in Jernbanegade and the new Station area. 

The Mobilia benches scattered throughout the square, with the curved round bench as the centrepiece, complete the relaxed atmosphere of Station Square. Dock-Line litter bins and Plaza reflective bollards in untreated cast iron blend naturally into the surroundings.
